The Historic Town Of Venice Was Only Three Blocks From The
The historic town of Venice was only three blocks from the Inn at the Beach. There are some really good restaurants and shops. It is easy to get around and plenty of parking. There is a water splash pad in the park for the kids that was a nice feature. On some Saturday’s there is a great farmers market that draws a crowd so you need to get there early. Sharky’s was a great family fun restaurant only a mile away that is worth the effort and wait times. The town of Nokomis that is next to Venice also has a good beach and some decent restaurants. Love this area of Florida!

We Spent Two Days At The Beaches Nearby Hunting For Shark
We spent two days at the beaches nearby hunting for shark teeth. We ended up with about 20! It was pretty incredible and a unique experience. There is a very nice fishing pier with cleaning stations at regular intervals. The view was fantastic and the water was warm. We enjoyed gelato and ice cream from two parlors on the main strip and wish we had more time to try out the local Italian restaurants. It was great for the whole family and close enough to St Pete for us to enjoy a Tampa Bay Rays game without feeling like we had a long drive. I recommend visiting Venice and would like to return.
